Dr. Thomas J. Michaels, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Dr. Michaels completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree through Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2011. He earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2000. Dr. Michaels has over seventeen years of clinical experience in various settings, including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and home care. In 2014 he became board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS). Dr. Micahael’s areas of clinical interest include manual physical therapy, sports-injury rehabilitation, movement analysis, arthritis rehabilitation, and functional activity restoration. Dr. Michaels has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2003. He is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Dr. Michaels is the clinic director of the Barnegat BSR Physical Therapy clinic.
Dr. Amy B. McMahon, PT, DPT

Dr. Amy B. McMahon, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. McMahon completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree through Rocky Mountain University in Provo, UT in 2011. She received her Master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Hartford in 2005. Dr. MacMahon became board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) in 2013. Dr. McMahon has over twelve years of clinical experience managing patients with orthopaedic, sports-related and neurological disorders, including patients recovering from stroke and those with balance difficulties. She has advanced training in manual physical therapy, elbow & shoulder rehabilitation, and balance disorders. Dr. McMahon serves as a clinical instructor for doctoral student physical therapists and mentors physical therapy residents specializing in the area of orthopaedics. She has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2003. Dr. McMahon is the clinic director of the Manahawkin BSR Physical Therapy clinic.

Dr. Amanda M. Edwards, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Edwards received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Marymount University in 2014. Dr. Edward’s areas of special interest include evidence-based practice, manual physical therapy, and rehabilitation of injured dancers. Dr. Edwards is currently enrolled in an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency through Temple University. She became board certification in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) in 2017. Dr. Edwards has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2013. Dr. Edwards joined the practice in 2015 and manages patients at the Manahawkin BSR Physical Therapy clinic.

Dr. Steven R. Ferro, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Ferro completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Rutgers University in May 2016. Dr. Ferro has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2013. He became board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) in 2018.  He also completed Temple University’s orthopaedic physical therapy residency program in 2018.  His areas of clinical interest include orthopedic rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, balance dysfunction, and sports rehabilitation. Dr. Ferro is also actively pursuing his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is currently Lee Silverman Voice Treatment-BIG (LSVT) certified and a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Dr. Ferro joined the practice in 2016 and he has been the clinical director at our West Creek BSR Physical Therapy clinic since 2019.

Dr. Ferrick received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University in 2017 and his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Hofstra University in 2013. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2014. Dr. Ferrick achieved board certification in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) in 2019.  He also completed an orthopedic residency through Evidence in Motion in 2018. His clinical interests include manual physical therapy, rehabilitation of injured athletes, and treatment of competitive weightlifters. He joined the practice in 2017 and currently manages patients in the Manahawkin BSR Physical Therapy clinic.

Dr. Daitol received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2012 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Stockton University in 2016. He is a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach as well as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, which is considered the gold standard for training athletes. Mark has a clinical interest in working with athletes of all ages and sports, especially baseball, Olympic weightlifting, and the tactical athlete. He is currently enrolled in the Sports Physical Therapy Residency program through Evidence in Motion (EIM). Mark joined BSR Physical Therapy in 2018 and manages patients in the Barnegat BSR Physical Therapy clinic.

Dr. Gardner received his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2017 from Arcadia University. Following this he performed a post-doctoral orthopedic residency in 2018 and then in 2019 became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. This allowed him to develop further knowledge in research and best practices of orthopedic based physical therapy. His clinical interests include manual physical therapy, treatment of athletes, and movement analysis. Dr. Gardner joined the practice in 2019 and he manages patients at the Mantahawkin BSR Physical Therapy clinic.
Dr. Ernest J. Gamble, PT, DPT

Dr. Gamble completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree through Regis University in 2010. He received his Master’s degree in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2002. Dr. Gamble completed an advanced orthopaedic physical therapy residency and became board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) in 2009. In 2014 he earned fellow status in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He is presently on faculty with Evidence in Motion teaching doctoral students, residents, and fellows-in-training in the areas of evidence-based practice and musculoskeletal physical therapy. Dr. Gamble also acts as a teaching assistant in the Department of Physical Therapy at Temple University, Baylor University, and South College.  He has been a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2002. Dr. Gamble is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). Dr. Gamble is the owner and founder of BSR Physical Therapy.
