3 BSR Physical Therapists Complete Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2025!

January 22, 2026

2025 was a special year for BSR due to multiple accomplishments.  At the top of the list, three of our doctors of physical therapy completed the rigorous orthopaedic residency program at Arcadia University.  Please join us in congratulating Dr. Victoria Gilham, Dr. Greg Cheeseman, and Dr. Connor Keehn!

An orthopedic residency is a post-professional training program designed for licensed physical therapists who want to specialize in orthopedics. This form of advanced training is a bridge between being a new physical therapist and becoming a recognized expert.  Completing this type of training requires immense effort and sacrifice.  Most physical therapists are not able or willing to embark on such a journey.

Credentialed physical therapy residency programs require 300 hours of didactic learning and 150 hours of advanced clinical mentorship with an expert.  Dr. Tom Michaels and Dr. Justin Gardner acted as clinical mentors for Victoria, Greg, and Connor.  Also, BSR financially supports all residents so they can focus on professional growth and helping their patients.

Our residency graduates are now prepared to sit for Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification in March 2026.
